Donald Rennie

Don was in private legal practice from 1960 specialising in personal injury (common law damages and workers' compensation) cases.
He was Coroner for Wanganui from 1963 to 1969 when he was appointed a Stipendiary Magistrate.

He has been involved in ACC law since the ACC commenced operations in April 1974.
He was a special consultant to the original three Commissioners of the ACC to set up the review and appeals systems, policies and procedures.
He was appointed the first Hearing Officer dealing with appeals and eventually the first Director of Research and Planning of the Commission.
He resigned from the ACC in 1985 shortly after the Commission was abolished and the organisation was Corporatised.

Don is currently the Convener of the NZ Law Society ACC Committee.
