Peter Leslie OBE
Peter is well-known in Wellington and beyond as a leader in the development and delivery of high quality cardiac services. He was full-time cardiologist at Wellington Hospital 1963 - 2000, and for 20 years was Head of Department.
He has played a major role in the National Heart Foundation of NZ, the Cardiac Society of Australia and NZ, and in the Royal Australasian College of Physicians. These are just some of the many medical organisations that have benefited from many hours of Peter's time.
His interests in medical history are broad and the talk that he will give this year describes the many medical advances that came about as a result of military activities during wartime.
Talks given to WMHS previously have been:

2013 | Psychology, Pathology, Politics and Power |
