Steve Behrendt MA PhD

Steve is Senior Lecturer in History at Victoria University of Wellington.
He works on the transatlantic slave trade, Liverpool history, maritime history, and medical history.

He is co-editor of Voyages: The Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade Database and currently is working on a public access database on Liverpool's maritime past.
He is co-author of The Diary of Antera Duke, an Eighteenth-Century African Slave Trader (Oxford University Press, 2010).
