Graduated in Medicine in London, taking degrees at the Middlesex Hospital
Soon after, joined the RAMC in India
Resigned in 1889 and came to NZ
Public Vaccinator, Nelson 1891
Superintendent, Westland County Hospital, Hokitika 1893 – 1895
Moved to Wellington 1895 to commence practice in E,ENT
Honorary Visiting Surgeon (EENT), Wellington Hospital 1902 – 1911
WW1 served in Samoa, then rejoined the RAMC and served in France, Egypt, Salonika
After returning to NZ, he practiced for a short time before retiring to Waipawa
