Dr Anu Langdana graduated in 1991 from India, the country of her birth. In 1995 she went to the UK for further training in Paediatrics and Neonatology and was admitted as a Member of the Royal College of Physicians in Paediatrics in 1997. She completed subspecialty training at Our Lady’s Hospital for Sick Children, Dublin. During these years she also juggled the role of wife to a busy Obstetrician-Gynaecologist and mother. In 2000 the family moved to Wellington NZ and Dr Langdana worked at Wellington Children’s Hospital and was admitted as a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians. After working at CCDHB for 14 years as a Consultant Paediatrician in General Paediatrics and as a Developmental Paediatrician, Dr Langdana, decided she wanted an adventure. In 2019 she worked with MSF (‘Medecins sans frontieres’ or ‘Doctors without Borders’) in Aweil, South Sudan. She is now (2022) working as a Paediatrician in Wellington hospital but continues to nurture hopes of returning to the field.
