Ophthalmic Surgeon, United Free Church Mission, Bamdah, India 1927 – 1928. Here he performed 2,000 eye operations, of which 1,300 were for cataract.
Returned to NZ in 1929, setting up ophthalmology and otorhinolaryngology practice in Wellington
