ENT Surgeon in Maidstone, Kent for 5 years
WW2 service with the RAMC, initially as an Otologist, then at the Porton Experimental Station.
He was then sent to India, where he made the original observation that temporary nerve deafness was an early sign in troops afflicted with scrub typhus.
He returned to Wellington after the war
