Honorary Visiting Assistant Orthopaedic Surgeon, Wellington Hospital 1936 – 1939
WW2 service: RMO, 18th Auckland Battalion 1939/40 DADM NZ Division in the Middle East, Greece and Crete.
Toward the end of the war, as Orthopaedic Consultant to the NZ Government, he travelled widely, studying the rehabilitation of amputees. Spent some of this time at Roehampton.
