Trained at Guy’s Hospital, London, where he was a House Surgeon.
He then travelled to Europe and to the USA for postgraduate studies, before returning to Wellington in the mid 1880s.
First registered as a medical practitioner in NZ 8 Nov 1884
Joined Dr M S Grace in practice.
Honorary Physician, Wellington Hospital 1888 – 1890
Honorary Surgeon, Wellington Hospital 1890 – 1906.
Pioneer of thyroid surgery in New Zealand
