Captain of the Guy’s Rugby team. Toured Australia and New Zealand with a British rugby team in 1904 & as vice-captain of an Anglo-Welsh team in 1908
First registered as a medical practitioner in NZ 8 Feb 1909, commencing practice in Wellington at 158 Willis St.
Honorary Physician, Wellington Hospital 1912 – 1914
In his private practice, he was a surgeon
Medical Officer, Wellington City Council

Very active in rugby, boxing, cricket and racing administration in Wellington, and at one time was President of the NZ Rugby Union.
