Returned to NZ in 1917, taking up a position with a travelling Medical Board

Medical Superintendent, Wellington Hospital 1922 – May 1928
In 1923, took 5 months study leave to Canada and the US
Honorary Surgeon, Wellington Hospital 1928 – 1936
Medical Superintendent, Clearing Hospital, Aotea Quay 1941
Chief Medical Advisor, War Pensions Board.
